About This Fundraiser

This photo is of a border crossing. For a person to leave is a perilous decision, putting their entire family at risk, not to mention their own personal safety. Refugees who have fled and are able to find their way to a new host country experience a lot of difficulty. In their host country, aid workers and NGOs work with refugees to provide them new opportunities and to help them process their journey.

Every summer, refugees and young people from their host country gather for an English Unification Camp (EUC). They play games, complete challenges, pray together and share their stories. This is a crucial time to support each other, and to learn from each other's cultures. English can be a powerful tool to help a person gain employment in today's global marketplace. To this end, native English speakers are needed to make the EUC the best that it can be.
This year our team of 6 will get to serve at this camp.
Please pray with us:
* as we seek to shine our light and to be a catalyst for healing.
* as we raise funds for the 6 of us (airfare + registration fees will cost between $1500-$1700 per person)
*for team unity
*for health and security
*for cultural sensitivity
*for energy
*for clarity in communication
*for EUC leaders
*for the campers to thoroughly enjoy their experience
*for the campers to grow in their knowledge of English
*for the campers to grow in their own personal journey

We are so thankful for this opportunity to serve and the many ways that the Lord has opened the door to go. Please plan on catching up with us in August to hear more details about how the camp went.

About International Ministries

'We believe that every Christian has a God-given passion to see others blessed with good news as described by Jesus in Matt 28:18-20. This is a personal and corporate call as described in Acts 1:7-8.  Jesus asks us to testify locally, regionally and globally to His greatness, grace, forgiveness, healing, mercy, and restoration.  This means that while every Christian will not be called to every remote area of the world, some will be called to some remote places from the perspective of their home area.  In these instances those of us who are not called to that specific remote place can still contribute through our prayers and financial gifts to the furtherance of the good news in that place.  As the Lord moves, please join us by partnering in this endeavor as God gives us opportunity.'
