Christer and Miji have a passion and vision to train and equip
this generations to know the TRUTH in SPIRIT, through teaching
Bible and discipleship to 'End Bible illiteracy' on the
earth.
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them
in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
teaching them all that I have commanded you.” Matthew 29:19-20
Miji has been working as a full-time volunteer YWAM staff for three years in University of Nations, Kona campus. She has staffed Discipleship Training Schools (DTS), a Worship School, helped and worked with leaders of DTS and Upper level courses from the University with logistics and pastoral care.
Christer has been working in YWAM full time since 2009, staffing
and leading DTS and Bible schools for the past 8 years. He has
been most recently working as director of the Biblical Studies
Department in University of Nations, Kona Campus. This position
involves a number of different responsibilities, and the main one
is being oversight of the Bible training schools (Discipleship
Bible School and School of Biblical Studies), which are 3 and 9
months University courses respectively.
Christer has been teaching in number of different schools in Kona
and Europe, including DTS and Upper lever University courses, as
well as delegating Bible teachers to various courses, so that a
wider number of students are interacting with the Bible on a
regular bases throughout their courses. This has had a dramatic
impact on many students lives. Christer has also been organizing
regular gatherings of students in various degrees from Bible
studies to Question and Answer nights on Campus.
Beyond their work with the YWAM base, both of them are involved with a local church, serving through audio & video (both), preaching sermons (Christer) and leading worship (Miji) during Sunday services.
From Sep 2017- Jun 2018, Christer PIONEERed the first 9 month School of Biblical Studies (SBS) with couple of other people, which is University level course, in Cambridge, England. And he went back to England in fall 2018 to teach the first two weeks of the second school. Miji graduated the school and in the solid foundation she will continue her future missions and ministry in the Nations.
Christer and Miji will re-launch the one more SBS in Kona YWAM campus next April to train more missionaries and the body of Christ in Word. Over 1500-2000 students and missionaries are coming through Kona every year doing DTS and various upper lever university courses, and they are called to teach and train those that are called into each different spheres of their ministry and missions, to end their Bible illiteracy first so that they can bring God's Kingdom and freedom effectively and impactful way to those whom they minister to.
*WHAT IS THE SCHOOL OF BIBLICAL STUDIES (SBS)?
It is a 9-month intensive Bible course in which students STUDY
ALL 66 books of the Bible. An inductive approach is taught, in
which students observe what the text says and then let it shape
their beliefs, and equipping them to study God's Word for
themselves while challenging them to give it out to others. Click
