5k Run Joy for Japan: Pals Family Foundation

About This Fundraiser
On July 31, 2016, beside I-80 in Nebraska, the Pals family—Jamison (29), Kathryne (29), Ezra (3), Violet (23 mos.), and Calvin (2 mos.)—departed to be with Jesus Christ. They went, sharing in his suffering (2 Timothy 1:8; cf. Mark 8:34), declaring that he died and rose for sinners (1 Corinthians 15:3–4), counting him worthy of all fame and authority and honor and glory (Hebrews 1:2; 2:9), and striving for the joy of Japan (Psalm 67:3–5). Jamison wrote on his blog, “We want Jesus Christ for Japan. That’s what ‘the joy of Japan’ really means” (joyofjapan.org). That vision hasn’t died. Death hasn’t won (1 Corinthians 15:54–57).
On Saturday, September 30th in Minnesota there will be a benefit 5k run at the University of Northwestern in honor of the Pals Family who were preparing to join CBI in Nagoya, Japan.
I'll be joining in the race to honor their sacrifice and their beautiful family and their beautiful lives.
I would ask that you join me in honoring them and the Lord by sponsoring my run. My hope/goal is to raise $5,000 for this 5k race. Would you please join and also spread the word? All proceeds will be donated to the Pals Family Foundation and will be used to support global mission work.
Would appreciate your prayers as well! (I've never run before and actually hate running. But in February mysteriously I got the crazy conviction that I should start training for a 5k. Months later when I heard that there would be a 5k in honor of the Pals Family I knew why the Lord had laid this on my heart.)
